When you call your Internet provider, they change the frequency to suit your needs better (like, gaming!). These "lag spikes" occur because of the frequency of your internet speed, ie it goes up and down. Okay, this has nothing to do with Valve, your PC, interference, NOTHING.Ĭall your ISP! I have uninstalled both Steam and Team Fortress 2 (Roughly 5 times, I really loved the game) Unfortunatly, after alot of research the result is this - THERE IS NO FIX!!!!!! This is when you're happily playing TF2 (And only this game, no other game has this effect on my 2014 Alienware X51) when suddenly your game goes into freeze mod for a duration between 1-2 seconds. I seem to have contracted a disease well known as "Lag spikes".
